On terra firma, everyone is enchanted with the mixture of colours, rhythms and flavours of the local culture. Salvador was the principal port of the Southern Hemisphere up until the nineteenth century.

It was considered the obligatory route for old sailing ships, thanks to the maritime system of currents and winds that dominate the South Atlantic.
