BRAZILIAN GOLF TOURISM BUREAU IN THE TOURISM SHOWROOM

The Brazilian Golf Tourism Bureau (BBTG) was present in the 4th Brazilian Tourism Showroom, held from July 1 to 5 in the Anhembi exhibition pavilion in Sao Paulo. Through its representative, the general coordinator Luiz Cingolani, the BBTG talked about the general profile of tourist golfers, their preferences, origin countries, besides the inbound services infrastructure available in Brazil, and some of the Brazilian courses.

The BBTG and Embratur met in the morning of July 2. The presentations were specially oriented to the Brazilian Tourism Bureaus (EBTs) representatives. The information sharing is crucial since those executive officers play a core role in the dissemination and incentive to visitation to Brazil as a tourism destination to golfing.

The Knowledge Nucleus, part of the Showroom schedule, was devoted to discussing relevant topics to the activity, attracted most of the meetings and gatherings on promotion strategies, besides promoting the exchange of experiences toward disseminating the Brazilian tourism product. Invited by Embratur, the BBTG and other Bureaux (resorts; ecotourism and adventure; interchange and luxury) could display the Brazilian setting regarding golf tourism practice.

To foster the promotion of Brazil in the international market, the fair had some specific spaces, among which an area named Brazil Brand Space, idealized by Embratur and that during the four days of the exhibition presented and disseminated the Brazil Brand to visitors.

Jeanine Pires, president of Embratur; Marcelo Pedroso, director of business and events tourism; José Luiz da Cunha, leisure and incentive director; and Walter Vasconcelos, marketing director have participated in the opening ceremony.
