Terras do Golf holds its first open in August

The Terras do Golfe Association – first golf course in Mato Grosso do Sul – is the newest member of Sao Paulo Golf Federation (FPG). In the last 29, the FPG executive director went to Campo Grande to deliver the membership certification of the club – the 43rd member of the entity.

During the ceremony that was attended by about 30 members, the referee David Oka delivered a lecture on the rules of the sport. This is the second institution from another state that becomes a member of the São Paulo Golf Federation. The first one was Poços de Caldas Golfe Clube, in Poços de Caldas (state of Minas Gerais). There are now about five thousand players with official handicap.

The Terras do Golfe, designed by Dan Blankenship, is prepared to hold its first Open. The club promises a great party to August 22 and 23, and another to the 26th with the 1st Terras do Golf Bowdy Trophy Amateur Championship, to celebrate the Anniversary of Campo Grande.

The golfers inscribed in the event will rely on a 9-hole structure, driving range, golf-cart and putting Green, distributed along 389 thousand m² and 3,600 yards. To further information on the Open, access the club official website: www.terrasdogolfe.com.br.
