Italian operator disseminates Brazil’s golf tourism
Italian market operators have visited courses in Sao Paulo, Porto Seguro, Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro
Focusing on the Brazilian golf market, an Italian operator promoted the 1st Fam Tour of this sport oriented to the Italian market. The event was held from March 15 to 27, and disseminated the potential of the Brazilian golf courses in the European country. Currently, the sport transacts about R$ 500 million/year in Brazil. The Country houses more than 100 golf courses, 20 of which related to tourism.
With the Fam Tour, the Italian operators have visited the golf courses in Sao Paulo, Porto Seguro, Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro exactly when the sport, after 112 years, returns as a sport modality in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Golf in Brazil
In Brazil, golf is an emerging sport, according to the Brazilian Golf Confederation (CBG). Today, the Country has 25 thousand golfers, with 110 courses available and 30 ones designed or being constructed, most of which in hotel enterprises. The Brazilian golf courses are mainly characterized by the gathering of technical excellence and paradisiacal settings.
