The destination perfectly combines beautiful beaches, landscapes surrounded by the Atlantic Forest and rich cultural and historical activities.

Located in the South of the state of Bahia, the settlement of Trancoso stands out for its beaches of wild beauty and for its night life, concentrated around the Praça São João (São João Square). Known simply as “Quadrado” (the Square), it is there that visitors find lodges, bars, and restaurants of several different categories. In display in many stores, the local craft has a unique style, which is recognized and praised all over the world.

Nature is exuberant in Trancoso. There are Atlantic Forest areas, cliffs, fresh water ponds, and many miles of beaches of white sands and crystal-clear waters. A good tip for those wants to know the beaches is a walk to the Vila de Arraial d’Ajuda by the coast. On the way, visitors can go surfing or savor fried fish in several seashore restaurants.

Trancoso is located in the town of Porto Seguro, one of the most important tourist centers in the country. The place that marks the discovery of Brazil, Porto Seguro combines beautiful beaches and marvelous landscapes, besides having rich cultural and historical activities.

The stores are open in very unusual working hours in Porto Seguro: many malls and craft stores are open until midnight. The excitement continues on the seashore, with parties and live music.

In contrast with all those activities, Porto Seguro still preserves wild landscapes, with beautiful calm beaches. It is 55.92 mi (90 km) of coast protected by coral reefs, besides bays, rivers and brooks, coconut tree fields, and preserved forest.
