NOTE - INFLUENZA A (H1N1)
The Ministry of Health of Brazil informs:
- - As of June 22 , the number of A flu (H1N1) cases confirmed in the country is 240.
- - All cases are subject to active search and monitoring of people who had close contact with the patients.
- - Only 16 cases have been diagnosed as domestic contamination, but all of them had direct contact with a patient who got the disease abroad. Therefore, the Ministry of Health ratifies that the virus transmission in Brazil remains limited, with no evidence of sustained transmission.
- - The Brazilian Government remains monitoring all international flights arriving in Brazil and refers to medical care any traveler with symptoms compatible to those of the disease.
- - When disembarking, travelers receive information in Portuguese, English and Spanish on the symptoms, preventive measures, hygiene and guidance to seek medical care.
- - There is no restriction on international travels to Brazil.
