Três Rios

The name of this beautiful city in the state of Rio de Janeiro comes from three of the most important rivers that cut through its territory, the Paraíba do Sul, Piabanha and Paraibuna Rivers. Três Rios knew how to take very good advantage of this abundance in natural resources, and the greatest proof of that is its fame as a pioneer city in rafting in Brazil.   This adventure sport basically consists of an exciting descent down the river rapids in inflatable boats. Fun is guaranteed and the sport is already very popular in many countries. Rafting provides direct contact with nature, and for many people, it acts like anti-stress therapy. Furthermore, it demonstrates the importance of team work. Come and feel the adrenaline and enjoy the hospitality of the Três Rios inhabitants.
