PETAR – Upper Ribeira Tourist State Park

PETAR - Upper Ribeira Tourist State Park (Parque Estadual Turístico do Alto Ribeira) has the largest cavern complex inside a Preservation Unit ever identified in Brazil – in all, there are 250 subterranean natural caves. Because of this, the Park was divided into distinct nuclei, called Santana, Ouro Grosso, Casa de Pedras and Caboclos.
