On Sao Paulo's northern coast is Sao Sebastiao, with beaches for all tastes. Maresias, 180 km from the capital of the state, is the favorite beach for those who want to enjoy their vacations intensely and to be in touch with nature. It is known for surfing and even hosts international championships. World surf champion, Gabriel Medina, grew up in Maresias.
By car, you can get there through the Imigrantes highway, through Mogi das Cruzes or through Tamoios. Maresias Beach is 5 km long, with clear sand and crystal-clear waters. The sea has strong surfs, provoked by a submerged plate appreciated by divers. The beach is surrounded by houses, sophisticated hotels, and modern restaurants, bars and clubs that guarantee very lively nights.
During the day, you can practice water sports, skate at the square in front of the beach and play beach volleyball. It is also worth visiting other beautiful beaches close by, such as Juquei, Ilha Bela and Ubatuba.
