Mangal das Garças Park recreates the amazon environment in the heart of the urban area of the city of Belém. Original trees were preserved and the whole environment was designed to receive lots of birds. About 50 herons visit the nursery every day.

We recommend you to visit the orchid garden, the lookout point, Caruanas fountain and much more. With a unique spot, you can visit the bird nursery and the butterfly garden. In addition, you can visit the Amazon Naval Memorial (which shows the evolution of the transport means in the Amazon) and climb the Lighthouse where you can see a breathtaking panoramic view of Belém.

Every day from 10am to 4pm, you can delight with the butterflies and follow the animal feeding. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, at 10am, there is guided tour in Portuguese and in English. The local restaurant is a great choice for a local and contemporary food to have lunch or dinner.
