Paraíba is one of Brazil's 27 Federative Units

With 138 km in length, the coast of Paraíba seems like one film scenario after another. Paradises like Cabo Branco, Coqueirinho and Tambaba are some of the more than 50 beaches of the State, all bathed by warm and green waters, in a nice mixture of nature and tranquility.

Paraíba cuisine can also be enjoyed on the beach huts, that prepare shrimp dishes and delicacies like crab stews made with coconut milk and fried agulhinhas (small fish typical of the Brazilian northeast).

João Pessoa, the State capital, has a good tourist infrastructure and rich popular culture, and its trademark is its hospitality.

The city of Campina Grande concentrates most of the cultural activities of the State. Located in the countryside of the State, the city hosts the largest São João festival in the world, an event that attracts national and international tourists during a whole a month.

The festival concentrates 30 days of forró and quadrilhas (two local dances), local crafts exhibitions and stands filled with foods like pamonha, cooked corn and canjica.
