100 km far from the city of Recife, Tamandaré has the most deserted beaches in the state of Pernambuco. With 16 km strech of beach, the city has an amazing almost untouched landscape, perfect to spend some relaxing days.
An urbanized area, the city offers attractions for an unforgettable trip. There are many lodging options and holiday homes to rent, historical buildings, seafood cuisine and beautiful and rich handicraft being sold at Handicrats House.
Carneiros Beach, with its warm crystal clear waters and full of palm trees, is one of the favourite beaches among visitors willing to relax. There is a nice eighteenth century church on the white sand of the beach making the place even nicer. There are restaurants and bars for you to enjoy.
With a breathtaking landscape, Guadalupe Beach is a paradise with calm waters. Enjoy the peaceful nature and bathe in the mud which is known for having properties to embellish the skin.
A cannot miss tour in Tamandaré is visiting the natural pools. A few meters from the coast, great coral reefs form natural perfect pools where you can dive and appreciate a colourful and rich sea life. One of the best beaches for this activity is Campas.
Santo Aleixo Island has a stunning nature with natural pools with warm waters and it is almost completely deserted. Boats travel to and from the island everyday so that you can relax under the tree.
