Búzios has beaches for all types of people and Ferradura beach is a favorite for families visiting the city, especially with children. The sea is crystal-clear and calm, with rare waves and weak, which makes it much safer.
If you enjoy water sports, such as Stand Up Paddle (SUP) and canoeing, for example, you will get to enjoy the place as well, as these activities are quite common there. There is also a sailing school on the site.
It's a modest beach for relaxation, but it offers enough structure for you to spend a day. The stalls assembled on the left side sell food, drinks, and provide chairs and sun umbrellas. Also there are some restaurants nearby.
The vegetation is formed predominantly by cacti and bromeliads, in a contrast with the white and fine sand. For being located between large rocky shores, the beach is protected from the winds, which makes the stay even more pleasant. It is about 1.5 Km long.
