Located in one of the highest points of Brasilia, the JK Memorial preserves the memory of Juscelino Kubitschek, President of the country between 1956 and 1961. Juscelino Kubitschek encouraged the industrialization of Brasil and left the greatest construction legacy through the new capital of Brasil.

The Memorial has gardens designed by landscape architect Burle Marx and a burial chamber with the remains of JK. The Memorial’s collection has personal objects of the former President, such as the presidential ribbon, medals and other belongings that tell his story. Photos of the construction and inauguration of Brasília are also exposed.

One of the rooms that make up the Memorial is the Auditorium, used for music performances, documentaries and other events. In the background, there is a panel with images from historic moments of JK’s political track.

There is also a photo exhibition of JK with world-famous personalities such as actor Marlon Brando and the former US. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
