Located in the "corner" of Brazil, Rio Grande do Norte has more than 400 km of coastline full of dunes and cliffs that attract visitors from all over the world.

Its tropical climate favours the economy and makes it a great exporter of fruits and shrimp. Rich in seafood, salted meat, green beans and manioc (cassava), the cuisine is also a strong point of the State.

Located 30 km from Natal, the State capital, is one of the most famous beaches of Rio Grande do Norte: Genipabu. There you can relax, ride a buggy through the extensive sand dunes, practice extreme sports and even ride a camel.

Another popular beach is Pipa, located in Tibau do Sul. Pipa is famous for its dolphins and sea turtles, and the beach also has clear and warm waters, and is surrounded by enormous cliffs covered by the Atlantic forest.

Other destinations very sought after in the State are the Maracajaú beaches, with its coral reefs (coral barriers) that favor diving, and the city of Mossoró.
