The city of Tiradentes, in the state of Minas Gerais, annually offers the Culture and Cuisine Festival of Tiradentes, a delicious gastronomic experience to its visitors.
The first edition was in 1998 and the festival was already consecrated in the national calendar as reference of great cuisine. During the festivities, there are several attractions such as practical cuisine courses, unique recipes cooked by renowned chefs, lectures and dinners throughout the city top restaurants.
In addition to delight, the event provides a great Brazilian cuisine. It is very common to taste the local ingredients and delicacies that got a modern touch: classic recreate dishes recipes such as baião de dois (combination of Brazilian diet ingredients such as black eyyed beans, rice, sausage and cheese) and moqueca (Brazilian fish stew in coconut milk, tomatoes, onions, garlic, coriander and some palm oil), as well as duck in tucupi (it consists of a duck cooked in the juice of manioc roots called tucupi) and pork belly topped with cachaça based teriyaki sauce.
