One of the most beautiful bays in the country, where rustic charm coexists with nature trails and sea water ponds.
Surrounded by green hills of Atlantic forest, Praia do Rosa, in Imbituba, is 7 km long and has perfect waves for surfing. On the beach, you can also practice windsurf, kitesurf, and sport fishing, as well as take part on boat trips. The nature trails and the local topography allow the practice of trekking and horse riding. It is the only Brazilian beach featured in The Most Beautiful Bays in the World list.
The beach also has five sea water ponds. One is right in the center (Lagoa do Meio), is pretty quiet and most commonly frequented by couples. Behind the hills, are the other four ponds, also formed by sea branches.
One of the main attractions of Praia do Rosa is the presence of whales, visible from several points. There are structures created to combine the experience of sighting with the leisure on land.
The beach’s infrastructure is rather complete, including restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.
