Guarujá houses one of the few Brazilian beaches certificated by the Blue Flag Program, designed to encourage social and environmental responsibility: the Tombo Beach.

The Beach has this named due to its geological formation that has several holes which, along with its strong sea, cause unexpected falls (tombo in Portuguese). These characteristics attract many surfers seeking perfect waves. The local is also host to several important national and international surfing championships.

With 900 m of extension, Tombo Beach is clean, has white sands, great infrastructure of kiosks and restaurants with seafood-based dishes, and has accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

If you are not a big fan of riding waves and just want to relax and go for a swim, pay constant attention to the signs of the firefighters and observe the signs that inform the dangerous areas, especially if you are accompanied by children.
