Beaches on the coast of Santa Catarina beyond the capital Florianópolis

The best way to begin the visit to Balneário Camboriú is by taking the charming cable car of the Unipraias Park. From the top, it has a magnificent view of the city and nearby beaches, such as the famous Central. Its coastline is full of kiosks and bars. It is perfect for sports practicing such as walking and jogging.

The cable car disembarks in two places: Barra Sul and Laranjeiras Beach. Lovely and charming cove within 750 meters length. Its blue waters contrast with the green water around the Atlantic Forest. The calm sea is great for swimming, diving and to have fun with a banana boat ride.

At north of Balneário Camboriú is the Tourist Complex of Morro do Careca. At 100 meters above sea level, it also offers a beautiful panoramic view of Central Beach and Brava Beach. The best way to begin the tour is visiting the summit of Morro do Macaco. Its lookout with 191 meters high panoramic view reveals the beauty of many beaches, islands and the Marine Biological Reserve of Arvoredo. To get there, you will face a moderate to difficult hiking trail which lasts about 30 minutes. You can return by the same trail or you can hang gliding or paragliding (if you have the appropriate equipment) while enjoying an amazing landscape.

Nature watchers cannot miss Sepultura Beach, another great viewing spot of marine animals such as whales, whale sharks and several varieties of fishes. No wave sea is great for children. Divers have the chance to explore the great diversity of local underwater life.
